Arrival & Departure:
Our normal arrival time is between 4pm- 8pm.
If you anticipate arriving before or after these times to drop off luggage or collect your room key, please telephone 01227 263506 to let us know.
Departure 11am. Rooms to be vacated between 11am and 4pm each day in order to be serviced.
Dogs:
Unfortunately we are no longer able to accept dogs on the premises however, there are boarding kennels nearby.
Babies:
We are happy to discuss bookings with people who intend to bring their baby however, we only have one room suitable for this purpose, Beachcomber. We have a high chair and travel cot on the premises.
Family Suites:
If you book these rooms as doubles the price quoted is for the use of the double bed. We reserve the right to make an additional charge if the single beds have also been used and require remaking. You will be charged at the prevailing rate per person.
Cancellation:
We require valid Credit or Debit card details to secure your reservation.
We reserve the right to charge you for cancellations in accordance with our Cancellations policy below.
A minimum of seven days notice of a cancellation is required.
Cancellations made at less than seven days notice will be subject to a charge of 25% of the applicable room rate.
Cancellations made at less than twenty four hours notice will be subject to a charge of 100% of the applicable room rate.
The cancellation charge may be waived (in part or in full) if we can re-let the cancelled rooms.
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation to any person or persons, if necessary, for the safety & comfort of staff & other guests. Anti Social behavior will not be tolerated & persons acting as such will be asked to leave the premises.
Children:
We have 3 rooms suitable for families with children, Field Of Dreams, Beachcomber & Sunset Boulevard. The online booking system allows these rooms to be booked for two, three or four people. Please note that children must not be left unattended at any time and should be supervised at all times by the parent. We do not accept bookings by or for any persons under the age of 18 years, unless accompanied by an adult.
Damages:
Unfortunately, on occasion, bed linen has been so badly spoiled that even after professional laundry it could not be used again. Similarly carpets have been so badly stained that professional cleaning has been required.
Regrettably, we therefore reserve the right to charge for the replacement, cleaning or repair of any item(s) belonging to Windy Ridge, or the fabric of house itself, damaged either wilfully or because reasonable precautions have not been taken. Invoice(s) will be provided for any costs incurred.
Group Bookings:
We are able to accommodate group bookings if prior notice is given.

We reserve the right to cancel a reservation or to refuse accommodation if a group books more than two rooms without prior notification.
Online Bookings:
We keep the Room Availability that is shown online up to the minute as far as we can but can not guarantee its accuracy.
We reserve the right to cancel bookings that have been made online if, for whatever reason, we can not provide the room requested or a suitable alternative.
Smoking:
It is against the law to smoke anywhere inside Windy Ridge. There is a covered smoking area with seating in the garden (from which you can enjoy the view.)
There will be a minimum £50 additional charge for cleaning & deodorizing to remove the smell of smoke from the curtains, carpets etc. Charges may also be made should the room be made unusable.
Food:
Please note we do not allow Hot Food / Take Aways etc to be consumed on the premises.
Special Diets:
If you have a serious or life threatening allergy please note that we can not guarantee that every item of food in our breakfast is free from nuts or other potential allergens.
We are, however, able to cater for vegetarian and other special diets if we are given prior warning.
Weekends:
From April to September, we normally only accept weekend bookings for two nights or more, Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday. From Thursday onwards each week, we may have rooms available for booking a single Saturday nights stay, please ring or check availability via the online booking facility.
Forgotton items:
Please note that forgotten items should be claimed within one month of your stay. Any items unclaimed within one month will be disposed of.
