Arrival & Departure:
Our normal arrival time is between 4pm and 8pm (16:00 - 20:00).
If you anticipate arriving before or after these times, please telephone (01227 263506) to let us know.
Departure time is 11am.

Babies:
Some of our rooms are more suitable than others for couples with babies.
Please contact us by phone if your baby will accompany you.
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation if families with babies arrive without giving us prior notice.
We can provide a travel cot (£5) and bedding (£5) and a high chair.

Beachcomber:
If you rent this room as a double room the price quoted is for the use of the double bed. We reserve the right to make an additional charge if the single beds have also been used or soiled in any way. Your credit card will be charged at the prevailing rate per person without prior consent being required.

Cancellation:
We need valid credit or debit card details to secure your reservation.
We reserve the right to charge your card for cancellations without seeking your consent.
A minimum of seven days notice of a cancellation is required.
Cancellations made at less than seven days notice will be subject to a charge of 25% of one night's stay.
Cancellations made at less than twenty four hours notice will be subject to a charge of one night's stay.
The cancellation charge may be waived (in part or in full) if we can re-let the cancelled rooms.

Children:
Beachcomber is the only room that is available for families with children. The online booking system only allows this room to be booked for two people. Please contact us by phone if you wish to book Beachcomber for a family.
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation if families with children arrive without giving us prior notice.

Damages:
Unfortunately, on occasion, bed linen has been so badly soiled that even after professional laundry it could not be used again. Similarly carpets have been so badly soiled that professional cleaning has been required.
Regrettably, we therefore reserve the right to charge for the replacement, cleaning or repair of any item(s) belonging to Windy Ridge, or the fabric of house itself, damaged either wilfully or because reasonable precautions have not been taken. Your credit card will be charged without prior consent being required. Invoice(s) will be provided for the costs incurred.

Dogs:
Although we have two dogs of our own, we are unable to accept guests' dogs.
We can put you in touch with a highly reccommended local boarding kennel.

Group Bookings:
We are able to accommodate group bookings if prior notice is given.
Please telephone (01227 263506) to discuss your plans.
We reserve the right to cancel a reservation or to refuse accommodation if a group books more than two rooms.

Online Bookings:
We keep the Room Availability that is shown online up to the minute as far as we can but cannot guarantee its accuracy.
We reserve the right to cancel bookings that have been made online if, for whatever reason, we cannot provide the room requested.

Smoking:
It is against the law to smoke anywhere inside Windy Ridge. There is a covered smoking area with seating in the garden (from which you can enjoy the view.)
There will be a £50 additional charge should extra cleaning be necessary to remove the smell of smoke from the curtains, carpets etc.

Special Diets:
If you have a serious or life threatening allergy please note that we cannot guarantee that every item of food in our breakfast is free from nuts or other potential allergens.
We are, however, to cater for vegetarian and other special diets if we are given prior warning.

Weekends:
From February to October, we normally only accept weekend bookings for two nights or more, Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday. From Thursday onwards each week, we may have rooms available for booking a single Saturday nights stay, please ring or check availability via the online booking facility.
